EUROPEAN FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES IN OUR SCHOOL!
26 September is celebrated in Europe as the European Day of Languages. This day is dedicated in particular to learning foreign languages. In many international institutions and educational establishments of Member States of the European Union there are special events that remind residents of Europe about the benefits of learning a foreign language and encourage their continuous learning. The school traditionally joined the celebration of languages.
This past Tuesday we took part in the Gala of foreign languages, which was a fantastic opportunity to experience the beauty of linguistic diversity in different areas of our life. In the role of the presenters were: Julia Maslowska and Jakub Szwech from form I A. During the Gala we learned interesting facts about European countries and languages. Middle school students presented the songs in English and Spanish, with which we had a fantastic musical journey through Europe. One of the very interesting points of the programme was a lesson of English waltz, which showed us what extraordinary talents some of the students in our school possess.
As every year on the occasion of the European Day of Languages students were invited to participate in the knowledge competition about European countries and in the poster contest to promote the learning of foreign languages.
Another point was the announcement of the results of the competitions and awarding the winners with prizes.
In the competition on the European countries the vastest knowledge was shown by:
1st place– Oliwia Mędrzycka, form III CG
2nd place– Julia Kaczmarczyk, form III AG
3rd place – Jakub Szwech, form I A
The authors of the winning entries in the arts competition were:
