LANGUAGE WORKSHOPS IN LONDON
On the tenth of October my class together with Ms. Edyta Maciejska and Ms. Anna Kubiak head out in a twenty-seven-hour journey to the capital city of Great Britain – London. After long travel we arrived to London. We were all curious.
The first place that we saw was Tower Bridge. It makes a huge impression. After this incredible bridge, we went to Tower Of London. We found out it was a prison. The symbol of this monument are ravens. We visited the White Tower where we saw an arsenal and a gallery of weapons. We saw the crowns of the most important British Queens and Kings. After visiting it we walked along the river Thames, we crossed the Millennium Bridge. We saw the Shakespeare's Theatre. After this amazing day we were accommodated at houses of our host families.
Next day we walked down to Westminster's Abbey. Than we found out that the Kings and Queens of Great Britain were crowned there. After that we saw Big Ben. It makes a huge effect. On the same day we were near Buckingham Palace. We visited the National Gallery. We saw plenty of popular and beautiful pictures for example Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
On the third day of the trip we were in Oxford Street and we popped into Primark. Then, we went to Madame Tussauds Museum of Waxwork. We saw a lot of popular people for example: Bob Marley, Morgan Freeman, Freddie Mercury, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sherlock Holmes. Then we visited the Natural History Museum. We saw for example: life evolution, dinosaurs and plenty of things like that.
On the fourth day of our trip we used only public transport. We went on a cruise on the Thames from London to Greenwich. There we had a surprise. This attraction was a ride over the Thames inside the bogie. After this part of our trip we had to return to Poland.
