AIESEC Volunteers in Norwid High School
This is the fourth edition of the project PEACE AIESEC, in which our school took part. The project is implemented in cooperation with the School of Economics. In this project, volunteers from various foreign universities are hosted by Polish schools, where for a week they carry out cultural activities in English.
This year we were visited by: Jecinta Kamau from Kenya, Miko Hoffmann from Germany and Hayk Amirkhanyan from Armenia. The students conducted very interesting classes for all the grades of junior high school and high school. Jecinta, Miko and Hayk were warmly welcomed by our students, with lots of conversations and unforgettable photos.
The volunteers stayed in the families of our students: Alice Gałecka class IId, Sebastian Giera class II d and Jakub Szulc class IIc. The host families looked after our guests very warmly and we would like to thank them very much for that.
This project as usual was an opportunity to meet people from different countries, get to know their culture, traditions, problems that they often struggle with. Students have the opportunity to improve their language skills during classes conducted always in English. Volunteers by means of their workshops help to spread tolerance and understanding of other cultures and traditions among our students.
