WE ARE THE LAURATES OF MiNI MATHEMATICS ACADEMY OF WARSAW
UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY!!!
On 15 May 2015 in the Main Building of Warsaw University of Technology we received an honourable title of “School of MiNI Mathematics Academy” from prof. Irmina Herbut, the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science.
During this school year teenagers from our school had an opportunity to participate in a reputable project of Warsaw University of Technology – MiNI Mathematics Academy, run by the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science. Since October 2014 to May 2015 our students regularly attended the cycle of lectures and workshops, during which they could extend their knowledge and develop mathematic skills. Their involvement was appreciated by the Board of MiNI Mathematics Academy.
The last meeting of MiNI Mathematics Academy in the school year 2014/2015 was held during the Festival of Mathematics on 15 May. We participated in it, too. We listened to a lecture “An apt drawing in geometry is half the battle” by prof. Krzysztof Chełmiński. After that the official closing ceremony of MiNI Mathematics Academy took place. The most active students got diplomas and awards. Among the distinguished students there were also our students. The diplomas of MiNI Mathematics Academy were received by: Sandra Borkowska, IAG, Natalia Szatan, IAG, Arkadiusz Balcer, IAG, Filip Kosierb, IBG, Maciej Persona, IBG and Paweł Ryś, IBG. We congratulate all the winners and wish them successes in Maths in the future.
What is more, our school was, next to Ruy Barbos Senior High School in Warsaw and 18th Jan Zamoyski Senior High School in Warsaw, awarded the honourable title of School of MiNI Mathematics Academy. Apart from the prestigious title our student will have the opportunity to participate in selected educational activities at the University or benefit from lectures conducted by the University tutors in our school in Radzymin. We will certainly continue the cooperation with Warsaw University of Technology during the next school year.
