EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
The 26th of September is a European Day od Languages. This day was set up in 2001 by the Council of Europe to encourage people to get to know cultures of different allied countries.
A special event was a Language Academy led by Joanna Wojcieszkiewicz (IIA) and Małgorzata Reluga (IIIC). The compere’s text was spoken in two languages - English and Polish. Songs performed in foreign languages by our school artists from „Anima Mea” group - Marta Szczepanik, Julia Matusiak, Magda Janicka, Karol Bąk and Piotr Dębek were nice interruptions The highlight of the school gala were the awards for a poster promoting learning foreign languages. The winners were awared with educational materials helpful in learning English.
The winners of the European Day od Languages contest were: Sandra Borkowska (IAG) - the first place, Mikołaj Milewski (IBG) - the second place, Kamila Kołacz (IAG) - the third place.
In the art competition for the best poster promoting learning foreign languages the winners were:
Karolina Mazurek and Natalia Skibińska (IBG) - the first place in the Junior High School Category; Dominika Przybysz (IIA) - the first place in the Senior High School, Aneta Karczmarczyk (IIID) - the second place in the Senior High School.
